The naming of my paintings is a deeply intuitive process; each title emerges directly from the artwork itself. It's a reflection of what I feel and visualise as I create and observe the piece. For my portraits, in particular, a name often spontaneously comes to mind as the image takes form on the canvas.

Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, Robyn’s art bursts with personality. Her playful mark-making weaves together bold patterns, textures, lines, and shapes, creating pieces that are as dynamic as they are captivating.
Robyn loves to experiment, using everything from spatulas and her fingertips to scratching techniques and layered effects to craft one-of-a-kind works. Recently, she’s been drawn to painting faces, blending colours and textures in ways that feel uniquely her own.
Her style? Perfectly imperfect. Robyn embraces the beauty of mess, believing that art doesn’t have to conform - it just has to feel. The result? Stunning creations filled with energy, emotion, and the kind of magic that invites you to escape into her world.

With over 20 years of experience in women’s fashion, Robyn continues to design and create locally in Nelson, New Zealand. Her pieces are thoughtfully crafted to help women feel confident and comfortable - combining timeless shapes with effortless wearability, whether for relaxed daytime outings or more polished occasions.
Her love of colour and denim runs through every style, using quality fabrics such as linen, cotton, rayon, merino and, of course, denim. With a loyal following built over decades, Robyn remains dedicated to creating beautifully made garments designed to be worn, enjoyed and loved for years to come.
